What do you think of the self-serve coffee machines in Japan's convenience stores? Have you had any problems with them?

I use 7 and I holdings coffee machines daily and never had an issue. The coffee is of good quality, hot and quick. Maybe people how try to use oversized buckets would have a issue having use the machine 4 time so to fill their bucket.

They work fine, especially the 7/11 ones that are fully automatic. At other shops I have pushed the wrong button on occasion.

I haven't used them much, but when I have they've been easy to use and the coffee has been surprisingly decent - much better than the canned stuff.

Great value, especially for the latte. Unfortunately, none of the machines I've seen accept reusable cups and many stores only have plastic stir sticks. I feel guilty discarding a pile of plastic and paper every time I have one cup of a coffee. Japan's combinis need to make their business a lot more sustainable.

Am I missing something?

"Have you had any problems with them?"

Are there people out there who have not yet mastered opening a small door, putting a cup inside and pressing either a "small" or "large" button?

I like most but I noticed since they installed them many stores reduced to only one or 2 hot coffees in cans a lot of choices for tea but very few hot coffee and when you ask they point to the self serve coffee machine.

I prefer a can with resealable top over the push tab or paper cup with plastic lid.

It is far more likely the can aluminum or steel will be recycled bot not the plastic or paper cup and plastic top.

I can also put the twist top can in my pocket after opening in safer not to spill.

I think they make more profit on the machine coffee than can coffee.

Note that the selection of can coffee that are cold is still large.

I've never used such machine since they began to be installed in convenience stores. This self-serving coffee machine can only be applied to the country which high level safety is assured to some extent.

I was working as a clerk in a convenience store. I've never seen a customer who inappropriately uses self-serving machines not only of coffee but also others. Every customer naturally follows a common sense.

Japan 7&I is the goat of coffee. Whats not to like?

The machines aren't the issue.

The employee that gives you the wrong cup, even after yelling out your order is the problem.

Don't like them. One asked to borrow a pen and it never returned it.

Apart from the fact they pour too much milk, never had any problem. I love them.

Very decent coffee for 1/5 of a price of Starbucks or Tully's coffee.

Easy to use, fast, no fuss.
