What is the craziest thing you have done in Japan?

Some of the crazy things would have put me on the Darwin Awards' candidate list.

For example on my honeymoon in Izu I spotted an island not too far off the rocky shore and we set off to swim to it. The sea was deep and calm. The island kept moving further and further away, an unseen current was pulling sideways, and I began to feel exhausted. ... (to be continued)
