What should the international community do if North Korea launches a rocket?

Stick your head between your legs and kiss your ass goodbye!

Nothing. I would be more worried about America, once agiain, testing nuclear weapons. Why is it that North Korea can't have them but America can?

Seriously! What more can be done that hasn’t been done? It is a sad state with no hope while Kim Jong Dickhole is runnin’ the show. We’ll just have to wait ‘til that sack dies and hopefully someone takes power (preferably without the short man syndrome) and sorts those poor people out. We can’t sanction them any further and with the brainwashing and the UNeducation of the populous attacking that country would be absolutely horrible.

Stare up at it in slack-jawed bewilderment?

any action to be taken against NK will be determined by where the missile lands/how much damage is caused.

Enjoy the show.

Ignore the childish behavior of a leader that rely on foreigner help for feed their own people. We have more important things to do like fix the economy.

Analyze the capability and prepare for a future in which that capability exists in their hands.

Put the fallen pieces next to your Space Lab and Mir collectables. And remember to wash your hands properly afterwards. P.S. I think you get a prize if the piece with Pretty Boy Kim's picture falls in your back yard.

Pass out the toffee apples.

Hmmm...lets see. Well, we know there are about 194 other nations in the "international community".... AND we all know its better to give than receive. If each one fired a rocket back....well, I think that would be appropriate.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

I think ours is bigger than theirs..

0 ( +0 / -0 )

same thing they did last time. Say "tsk tsk" and go back whatever they were doing before.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

pay absolutely no attention. no news, no nothing

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Nothing. Is that so hard to do?

0 ( +0 / -0 )

EVERYBODY PANIC

Neverknow2: So America is doing what? Um, no. How about stating some fact instead of hatred. As far as NK, well, Kim Jung Mentally Ill may try to launch something. The Us will track and destroy it before it does any damage.

Ciao

haha.. yeah ignore it. NK is the bastard step child of the world and no one cares at all. If that's all it can do, fire missles and beg for food then, meh...

"Rocket"... meaning ballistic missile, or orbital payload delivery system? In either case, there's nothing to do, since both China and South Korea want to keep Kim Jong il in power as long as possible so they don't have to take care of all those refugees.

They are not the “bastard step child of the world” they are the bastard step child of China & yes they should be ignored, ignored to the point that not one single grain of rice or anything else should be sent into that country again until they learn that arrogant stupidity doesn’t pay. If they can find the money to build rockets/missiles then they can find the money to feed their own people.

The door to North Korea needs slamming shut, if China wants to pick up the slack then fine let them do so, the rest of the world should stay out of it. Had it not been for China Korea would have been a unified country in the 50s. Now we have the problem that after over 50 years of insane indoctrination the people of that country believe only what they have been told about the real world. So any invasion would lead to total war with the populous & there would be no way to pacify the country. So, leave them & when the level of hunger gets too much they will have no one to point the finger at other than their own government. That country can now only be changed from within & continuing to send in aid is only prolonging the misery, long term it is not helping anybody.

If they fire their missile let them starve, it’s that simple.

Time to go old school. China needs to make a choice, either get with the team in resolving this North Korean problem once and for all, or get ready to experience the Great Leap Backwards as foreign investment/overseas markets dry up. In this day and age, I cannot believe that any nation state would should support of a regime like that in North Korea. This is a regime whose sins are too numerous to mention.

" Little Boys playing with big toys " This is childish behavior, let's hope their toy breaks breaks down before launch. Why can't they convert (big rocket) it into a big popcorn popper and give their people popcorn !!!!!

MY ULTIMATUM Convert it to a pop corn popper or else ! ! !

Why is NK so bad? Who did they attack in the last 50 years? Who has America attacked in the last 50 years? It doesnt look so fair in my eyes. One set of rules for one country and another set of rules for America.

Had it not been for China Korea would have been a unified country in the 50s

I disagree. Had it not been for the United States Korea would have been a unified country.

What should the international community do if North Korea launches a rocket?

Well the whole world.. like china, america, australia, japan.. have all decided to ban rockets/missiles, they are disarming theres. Now north korea has decided well scew that you can't tell me what to do, and is going ahead with there launch to spite everybody (probably). I think korea shouldnt be so stupid and cancel the launch, they are just asking for trouble. so.. to answer the question i believe they should stop the launch.

Why is NK so bad? Apart from the fact they killed millions through stupid Juche policy which led to mass starvation of the population. And they imprison whole families of political dissidents. And they threaten war every second week through their brinkmanship. And They kidnapped Japanese civilians to teach spies there language. They make money through drugs (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pong_Su). Bombed Korean Air flight 858 in 1987 killing 115 peopole (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Korean_Air_Flight_858). Bombed South Korean government in 1983 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rangoon_bombing).

To name a few bad things about North Korea.

WOW, you were kidding when you asked that question yes?

More like stare down at it in slack-jamed bemusement.

let china handle it.

Littleboy point taken. Good information. However, the was only one Korea until a certain country invaded. I feel it's Japan's paranoia rather than any real threat as to the real danger of NK.

Bombed Korean Air flight 858 in 1987 killing 115 people

The person who did this is free and was actively walking around Japan, showing her face on TV last week. I guess Japan can't have too much of a grudge to allow that to happen.

In any event I think the international community should punish NK's enabler, China, in the event a rocket is launched (in addition of course to withholding movies and cable TV access to NK's Dear Leader).

Good information. However, the was only one Korea until a certain >country invaded.

And what country would that be? Because under Japanese colonial rule "Chosen" was one state, and a part of the Japanese Empire. The only country that's responsible for there now being two Koreas is the USSR. Without Stalins interference the whole Korean Penninsula today might have been as prosperous as South Korea.

OssanAmerica, it's hard to believe that of all Korea's neighbors, Japan would not be the one most nervous about unified Korea. While China, Russia, and USA may be concerned from their international power politics perspective, they do not have any real reason to fear unified Korea as an economic threat to any of them. For Japan, however, unified Korea may someday threaten it economically as an even more powerful rival, so it's not the same. In short, Japan is probably the country which would really oppose the unification of the two Koreas more than any other country in the world.
