My recommendation: call her Mrs. Masako

I agree. The 'whatever is ailing her' part, that can't be solved. Unfortunately in this country women may not have an opinion that differs from their masters; ie their husband's opinion.

she and the crown prince and their beautiful daughter should run away. get away from those horrid agency people and just let them live a nice quiet life.

(1)A good long holiday for just the three of them, far away from the press and (more importantly) the IHA.

(2)Abdicate, let the bearded one and his toddler have the chrysanthemum throne. If hubby can't let go of his claim to the throne, (3)divorce. But then watch out for speeding white Alfa Romeos in tunnels.

Divorce would be one option. Another would be finding a fulfilling hobby by which to blow off stress. My personal suggestion would be professional wrestling. I wonder if she has Vince McMahon's phone number.

At the same time, there is alway the labotomy option, this would bring down her Harvard-educated intellect to that of the other Wookies in the palace.

Let's not take this topic too seriously. Look forward to some outrageous ideas.

Finally, if your Imperial Highness is actually reading JT this morning, hope you feel better soon.

Host clubs and fast cars.

Separate from her husband and have an affair with the son of a rich Egyptian businessman. Do a high profile weepy television interview (crocodile tears, of course) to get the foolish and gullible public on your side. Try to make sure your driver is always sober and employ decoys to avoid high speed chases by the paparazzi.

She should ask Madonna and Paris Hilton for some tips on how to spice up her love life...

0 ( +0 / -0 )

The easy answer.. DIVORCE!

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Unfortunately your stuck my dear, Divorce, children or even a holiday will not work.

Once your in, Your in.

Look at princess Dianna she Divorced and they never left her alone.

Look where she is now.

The dam maggots never leave you alone in public life.

Its hard being a somebody, Im just happy being a nobody.

Sit back, relax, light up a doobie and listen to some mellow tunes.

Convince the Prince to leave the Imperial Household with her and live a more normal life. Unfortunately, that would be impossible in Japan and they probably want to live here.

Get some pot from a Uni student and smoke yourself sane!

Crown Princess Masako can recover fully from whatever is ailing her by Mind training. It is our mind which control us. Therefore, I usually suggest those who need help specially like this to use mind. Usually our problems are from mind and stomach. I am afraid I can not write whole procedure here but will be glad to share if one need help.

As we are fully aware that Crown Princes is caught between something she was not used to and that is her ailing problem we can say in short "STRESS".

Naikan Ryouho (introversive therapy) made especially by Japanese for Japanese is perhaps the Japanese version of psychoanalysis. It uses imagination rather than speech and seeks gratitude rather than blame. It seems to work pretty well on some Japanese people, and a few Germans.

Tsubo Image Ryohou (Urn Image therapy) another image based therapy developed by a Japanese for Japanese using a pot or urn with a lid into which one projects nice and not so nice emotions. The important thing is the existance of the lid since it enables the client to control the images and emotions therein imagined.

Also see Undou (movement) and Morita (sitting around doing nothing on your own) therapies for other good therapies created in Japan.

I would also recommend photography and filmmaking as another image-based, expressive artisitic and therapeutic activing. How about a video of Aiko growing up? Or a video of inside the imperial palace/home? Not only would it be therapeutic, it would be worth millions one day.

Go go Masako, we are rooting for you.

Get smashed, then sleep it off for a few days.

Hey you can divorce, and fly away from Japan... there are many coutries where people doesnt have any idea who you are, then you would live happy and quietly far from "weirdland". Of course, if finally you decide to escape and start a NORMAL life abroad, be aware of the japanese tourists, they are almost everywhere, one could recognise you and ask you for a photo. =^o^=

Glad to see everyone took this so serious!

Setting aside the fact that few readers are qualified to diagnose or cure anyone or anything, there is the fact that we don't know what is wrong with her. How can we recommend anything? It's tantamount to being told someone has a bodily illness and asked to help them get better without knowing if that illness is cancer, a common cold, or a broken leg.

Weed for the monarchy.

Regalize it!

Let it all out, the whole sad story.

Preferably to some Aussie journalistic hack.

What would Dr. Laura say? Divorce? No. Weed? No. Psychotherapy? No, but it might help find the solution. Let her divorce herself from her duties. She hates doing them. Let her get down and dirty doing volunteer work or let her speak candidly about what it is she really wants to do, short of exploding by the look on her face (what a mess).

A bottle of Johnnie Walker Blue every night. Have Dr. Phil move into the palace, and hope one day your husband gets the guts to tell the IHA to stick it.

Whatever is 'ailing' Masako is beyond her control. Give her a time machine to go back and stop herself from getting into that gilded cage.

A vacation to Amsterdam

Ok then, how about some pot?

Buy herself some kinda pet. I read somewhere once that people with pets are much more likely to recover from a sickness than people without. I would recommend a cat.

Take a holiday in central Australia; drive around just the two of you and vast Australian landscape...for weeks or months UNTIL you miss you loved ones so much, then return home. This will do you wonders.

run/jog for 30 minutes+ every day. Sweating will help get the toxins out.

It's a shame for such a talented woman to be having these chronic health problems.

Many women get chronic fatigue like symptoms -Masako is one of many, so maybe she could find a health group of people with the same symptoms.

She needs to not be afraid to be herself. She's a strong, intelligent, opinionated woman, and she's crushing herself trying to live up to everyone else's expectations-- which usually amount to "Stand here. Look Pretty. Do what you're told. Don't have an opinion." There has got to be a balance between performing her imperial duties and acting as a representative for the throne while also maintaining a personal identity and a modicum of independence. Finding that balance starts with taking control of your life and realizing that you have the power to make decisions for yourself. Short of incarceration and torture (which I actually wouldn't put past the IHA) no one can make you do anything you don't want to do.

That and plenty of alcohol should set her straight.

She needs to go on a homestay at Buckingham Palace and take advice from the British Royal Family. After all, the British Royals seem to know how to kick of their shoes and enjoy life.

For God's sake women, grow up and get a friggin divorce.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

she can either:

suck it up and do her duty as princess i.e. attending all official events with her husband instead of just those that she wants to (i wanna go to spain but don't wanna go to brazil). she's smart enough to know what she was getting into. try to change the system. she doesn't have to listen to kunaicho and actually they should be the ones listening to her so just do what you want and tell kunaicho to f-off. get a divorce.

I'm really not sure. It must be extremely difficult not to have to worry about making rent or mortgage payments, feeding a family and saving for their education, and it must really be a heavy weight on her not to have stress about layoffs and possibly losing her job and livelyhood. I really don't know how to help a person with such problems.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Divorce is one of the select, considerable Japanese think so, frankly speaking.

God knows. She needs to ask Him.

She could be better in 8-12 weeksif only she had the right kind of psychologist. There is no reason she should suffer for years from something so easily treated.

If it is really an Adjustment Disorder, then she needs to find a qualified, competent psychologist who can provide Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). This form of therapy is empirically supported and is the most successful form of therapy for most conditions. It is the only proven form of psychotherapy for treating and curing adjustment, anxiety, and mood disorders. CBT is based on the interaction of the person's thoughts, feelings, behaviors, and interpersonal relations. Medication can be used with this psychotherapy depending on the condition and the person. It also shows significant improvement in two to three months. I teach college psychology courses and have experience providing therapy so I know it works. People with far worse problems have been cured.

I feel very sorry for this lovely person, Crown Princess Masako Sama. She has suffered nothing but bullying and abuse from the Imperial Household since she had the misfortune to join it. Her husband has bravely tried to protect her, but failed to subdue the Establishment, which belongs with the dinosaurs. Her mother in law has also suffered abuse and bullying from the same people. My advice to her would be to persuage her husband to abdicate and then for the two of them to go and live in Switzerland with their lovely little daughter, so that at least she may ne day have a life.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Give her some space. Accept her as she is - a beautiful person.

Whiskey. Churchill won a war drunk on it. It would do her a world of good, wouldn't have a care in the world. Can't beat a good old fashioned Scotch as a natural remedy like.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

What is ailing her is the imperial family and the imperial household agency. Alas, I don´t see how to cure that...

0 ( +0 / -0 )

she is such a nice person but will never be happy if she continues to live under house arrest-the palace-please divource and get some happy life.for me i am going clubbing tonight

It's easy to assume the worst, but it's a difficult environment for anyone to be in the public eye for so long. I think she is handling it best under the circumstances.

What she needs is more positive support from the public
