When you eat sashimi, do you mix your wasabi and soy sauce? Some people say you shouldn’t.

Who cares how someone chooses to eat their food? I put soy sauce on my rice! Oh no there’s the food police!!

I put wasabi in my shoyu. I drink red wine with chicken and fish. I tell the waiter to pour without swirling the wine in the glass and sniffing the cork like some ponce. I put ice in cheap white wine to cool it down in the summer. And nobody has ever told me I shouldn't do these things.

I put whatever the hell I want to put on it, if someone has a problem with it they can call the cops

Some people should mind their own damn business. There are enough real problems to get angry about without some nob making up trivia to meddle with what and how I eat.

As Zatoichi would say, please sir, I humbly request you step aside so I can mix my shoyu with my wasabi (or horseradish with green coloring).

Last time when i ordered ribs and steak, the sauce was all over it. I ate sauce, not meat.

Well to begin with, most sushi/sashimi establishments don't even use real wasabi, so maybe the question should be, "shouldn't sushi/sashimi establishments use real wasabi?"

I'm eating the food so I'll do what I please. They are free to make 'suggestions' but that's all they will be.

I once served meals to 2 western looking guys. One just ogled at the fest on the table and asked me which to eat first. And I answered whichever pleases you. Nobody wold cut your head off for making an etiquette blunder.

I don't use wasabi on sashimi so people call me a child. I guess eating no wasabi is my fountain of youth.

I put my wasabi straight on my sushi and then dunk the lower rice in soy sauce. I find the taste more pronounced that way for me.

However, the BEST way to eat sushi, or indeed anything at all, is the way YOU want to eat it.
