Im quite a design freak so, actually all the logos from big companies are fugly. Plus it looks like their logos become more ugly and ugly each time they redesign them.

Any that do not use blue, red or green.

Are we supposed to talk about how weird Starbuck's new logo looks?

I saw a web site with parody logos like Please BUY (BEST BUY) and faded looking Xerox (ran out of ink?). They looked better than the originals :)

Well the classic, much-lauded example these days is FedEx. Not my favorite, but I can see why design pros like it.

The downright awful ones would include the Kudawara Pharmacy and the Arlington Pediatric Center logos. Also the Nintendo logo is just a bit too outdated. It just smacks of early-80's style to me. The Ebay logo is annoying. Great logos are of course the Nike swoosh and Harley-Davdidson logos.

Of the car companies the Toyota horns are better than the the Matsuda M (which looks like it is imitating Toyota), Honda H, Daihatsu D, and the Nissan tube-sign. The Mitsubishi logo is probably lost on non-japanophones and looks a bit too simple and imperial.

On the positive side I'd go with some classics like the Budweiser bow tie, Chevrolet, Jaguar, Mercedes and BMW. On the down side, I'd put anything from a Japanese company that uses a character in it to try to look kawaii -- like Piku.

The 2012 London Olympics logo is downright awful. The A-Style logo is very clever, I must admit. I personally like simple logos, such as the Adidas logo.

Here are my personal tastes in logos, not necessarily the products branded with them.

Cars:

Good: Mercedes, Audi, BMW, VW, Toyota horns, Honda H.

Bad: Volvo, Fiat, Hyundai (like a cheap imitation of honda)

Electronics and Computers

Good: Apple, Sony, Panasonic, Nikon (i like the retro style), Canon, Google

Bad: LG (a bit tacky), Dell, Fujitsu, Microsoft

The best one ever for me is Tabasco followed by Quiksilver, Hinano Tahiti Beer, Emporio Armani, Chanel, Vaio, Tide, Ferrari, and of course JapanToday. The worst one is Louis Vuitton and the new Starbucks one.

I guess Mercedes Benz has a cool logo, and Daihatsu, well junk like Daihastu are just junk.

I can't STAND GE's logo! It's mostly just some stupid cursive capital "G" and "E." Maybe that was "cool" back in the day, but it's 2011! Update your friggin logo! People DON'T use cursive except to sign things nowadays. They may have used it more often way back when, but times change.

GE's logo to me symbolizes stagnation, inability to adapt, and grossness. I can't get turned on to their products when they can't even make a good logo. The logo looks REALLY old-fashioned. Too old-fashioned.
