Japanese to English translators... Well, at least until computers get smart enough to guess the omitted subject of a sentence or Japanese start adding subjects to all the sentences they write without a subject. Ah, Job Security!

What jobs will there aways be a demand for? Sex workers.

Endangered - newspaper delivery boys, electric appliance repair men (They're pricing themselves out of a job - it's cheaper these days to buy a new whatever with all the bells and whistles than to have your old obsolete (over a year old) model repaired.)

Prostitutes will one day (not yet) be replaced by androids or a pill or brain implant that lets you enjoy a virtual encounter without the risk of infection.

Always a demand - J-E translators, yes I hope so! Also police officers and TV directors. And, sadly, soldiers.

Oracle techs, magazine & newspaper stand, book stores (another 40 years books stores will shut down) telephone book publishers, and thing related to paper (40 years or less no more printed paper products except tissues and tp), paper junkmail delivery people, yakimo salespeople who buys those potatoes really ??????

Tarentos on TV will be all replaced by monkeys donkeys and bears with mind reading voicebox collar. What ever they are thinking about will be translated and you will hear their thoughts in English or Japanese.

You think so? But now they came up with Rosetta Stone English, etc. Even the ringo obachan in Aomori could speak Portuguese...lol.

Headhunters are as much negotiators as talent sourcers so I can see some of them surviving thank you very much! Regarding Translators and teachers, it's interesting that for the 2022 World Cup bid, Japan were pitching the availability of instant translation software to change your words through a handheld interface from one language to another. Pretty soon we will only need Teachers to teach us our own language unless we have some facscination with learning the 'old-fashioned way'.

People that make roll up windows for cars will be out of a job.

Always in demand, will be the 10 or so people to watch road construction being done by 1 or two people.

Always in demand, will be cops that like to stop HS girls with short skirts to see if they stole the bikes they are riding.

Always in demand, 15 managers at each McDonald's outfit, managing two or three workers.

For cloud computing hype there is greater chance of outsourcing hightech jobs to remote datacenter areas. Many electronics goods have been been given shape into smart phone apps which are cutting jobs of traditional light electronics fancy products as well as opening opportunity for smart app developers. As the internet goes wireless more and more, so the cable manufacturing companies cut workforces. Now in the age of SNS, people are more connected to one another even unknown people are becoming friends more easily than ever, so this will seriously empowers networking by assisting job seekers.
