Ideally someone who isn't part of the old guard or in the very least will support the population's younger demographic

Yuriko Koike

Taro Yamamoto

Out of the ones put forward so far, Kono. He speaks fluent English and has lived abroad. He has a more international outlook than the likes of Ishibe.

A woman would also be good to have as PM, but I don't think that will happen in Japan until about 2150.

Yukio Edano

Someone that adheres to democratic principles and has the interests of the Japanese people at heart instead of the minority vested ones...

Koike isn’t an MP, she can’t be PM. I don’t think much of her anyway.

Tetsuro Degawa

Abe Shinzo. Third term.

Nakatani Gen -sama

He is capable to do it and could also be a bracket for the partie’s internal factions as well the different generations and interest groups in the society as a whole.

But of course, I am not asked....lol

It doesn’t matter who becomes what as that is not where power lies...
