Bills worth 10 million yen have been discovered in a metal cooking pot at a garbage collection site in Takatsuki, northern Osaka, police said Friday. If the owner is not identified within three months the bills will become the property of the garbage collector who found the pot and cash, police said.

According to the police station of Takatsuki, the garbage collector, based in the city, found the bills on March 25. The bills were wrapped with paper and placed inside the pot, which measures 25 cm in diameter and 30 cm in depth.
