Police in Isezaki, Gunma Prefecture, said that a 12-year-old elementary school boy who was found dead on the ground outside his apartment building on Dec 1 most likely jumped from the balcony of his 7th floor apartment.
Police and the local board of education announced at a news conference on Thursday that the boy had been attending remedial classes because he had been struggling with the Japanese language after returning from the Philippines in September, TV Asahi reported.
A board of education official said the board will conduct an investigation to find out if the boy was being bullied at school.

Yeah, he was being bullied alright! Bullied by an education system that totally discriminates against anyone who is not 100% Japanese!

So was he Japanese but living in the Philippines or was he a half? Pretty sure the chances of bullying are gonna be high if it was the latter. I was bullied as a child and the thought to jump off a building never once crossed my mind. Such a shame that this boy felt it necessary to resort to that.

Kids especially at this age can be very cruel. After all you don't hear much about bullying with college kids.

WTF!!!!!! Police and the local board of education announced at a news conference on Thursday that the boy had been attending remedial classes because he had been struggling with the Japanese language after returning from the Philippines
Blame it on language umm just because he was returning to Jp from the Philippines. Sad excuse the school board fail and the police is hiding the fact also but is quick to say because of his language difference among other things he wasn't JP so lets say this is the reason and not admit it was That he was bullied!
