2 men killed in car-truck collision in Sendai


Two men were killed Saturday when the car they were traveling in collided head-on with a truck.

According to police, the accident occurred at around 9:15 a.m. in Taihaku Ward. TBS quoted witnesses as saying that the small car crossed the center line into the path of the oncoming truck. Police said the two men in the car were confirmed dead at the scene.

Visibility was good at the time of the accident, police said, adding they have not yet determined why the car crossed the center line.
