The bodies of two women were found on the ground in front of a municipal housing complex in Tokyo’s Ota Ward on Sunday night. Police believe they may have jumped to their deaths.
According to police, a passerby called 110 at around 9:15 p.m. to report that the bodies of two women were lying near the entrance to the apartment building. Fuji TV reported that the two women were taken to hospital where they were pronounced dead about an hour later.
Police said one woman was aged in her 30s and the other in her 40s. They said that neither woman lived in the apartment building and that they had apparently jumped from the 7th floor.
