2 workers killed after 800-kg sign falls on them at construction site

Two construction workers were killed on Wednesday after they were hit by an 800-kilogram metal signboard that fell from a pallet.

According to police, the accident occurred at around 11 a.m. at a highrise building construction site near Hiroo Station in Tokyo's Minato Ward. TBS reported the men were working on a multilevel car park when the signboard fell from a truck six meters above them.

The two workers who were hit were aged 60 and 28, police said. They were taken to hospital where they were pronounced dead.

Wow! What a horrible way to die! I hope they did not suffer to much and that it was quick and lights out! Poor guys! 800 kgs from 6 meters up?? That will kill anybody!! RIP poor dudes out in Hirro
