Three women were found dead in a Tokyo hotel room on Friday afternoon in what police said was an apparent group suicide.
According to police, the bodies of the three were found in the bathroom of a room on the 14th floor of The Prince Park Tower Tokyo hotel in Minato Ward at about 1:30 p.m., TBS reported. The door was locked and the three were already dead when they were found by a hotel cleaning woman.
Police said that they found charcoal briquettes and a portable stove in the bathroom.
One of the women was in her 90s and the other two were in their 60s, police said, adding they were a mother and her two daughters. They checked in on Wednesday and were scheduled to check out on Friday morning.© Japan Today
