Three bodies were found after a fire burned down a two-story wooden house in Katsuragi, Nara Prefecture, police said.
According to police, the fire started at around 4:30 a.m. Saturday. The house is owned by an 81-year-old woman, Kayoko Fukui.
Sankei Shimbun reported that the three victims were identified as Fukui’s oldest son Minoru Fukui who is in his 50s, her oldest daughter Junko Fukui, 54, and Chiharu Imoto, a 12-year-old student from Mie Prefecture, who had been staying with the Fukui family since April.
Kayoko was able to escape from the fire and her granddaughter Hana was away from home on a trip.

I wish JT could provide a picture of the house and would be nice to know the age of the structure as well. Very sad way to perish as most people believe home is a safe place.
