Ground them all until a proper investigation is conducted! Get the protesters out in force!

What does feeling "unwell" entail exactly?

What happens if this occurs over a populated area? there have been numerous helicopter crash both civilian and military involving different makes of helicopters over the last few years, should we ban all helicopter flights over Japan or just the military ones as it fits a certain agenda of some groups!?

It's ok, this crash that is, because it's Japanese and not US military. Anytime crashes or incidents that occur and involve only Japanese folks, no matter the degree, the hypocritical anti-foreign whatever's will keep silent.

Ive just seen the picture of the helicopter, what a mess! I am glad and surprised that the crew got out alive.

Precisely! Although I'm sure a few have uttered their shock over the incident because now it will be brought up to prove the hypocrisy you speak of... not at all because people here were injured in an accident.

Yep these things are very dangerous especially trying to fly them upside down time to ban this maneuver from training

I could give 2 guanos the who, or whatever, I care that people got hurt, and hope that THEY are ok, and are properly cared for.

I've worked with Japanese helicopter crews at Hofu where these guys get the vast majority of their flight training. It's exemplary to say the least! My house is under the flight path between Hofu and Iwakuni and other than the noise and vibrations, accidents are pretty much non-existent. I would say this accident is more likely a technical error, rather than pilot error, but I guess we'll have to wait and see.
Glad they're all still alive.

@Bernie: there are many cities and villages between Hofu and Iwakuni. The beach sides, there are swimming resorts. Only Tokuyama was air bombed. I am not sure now but Kikkawa family kept Iwakuni castle. Nice resort area. Did you work at NakaNoSeki? used to have airport.

In Yamaguchi Prefecture Seton Inland Sea. side land is not crowded. The mountain side,,, lands were. shaven and buried in sea. This had been done for several centuries since Shogunate won war against Lord Mouri.

Had the MSDF helicopter mishap occured in Okinawa, what would Gov Onaga and his party protesters say? Or would they be silent, being that it was a MSDF and not an Osprey?
Cargo suspended from the helicopter. I'm speculating it was heavy cargo and one of the ropes or cables snapped, causing an imbalance. That imbalance would upset the helicopter's center of gravity and cause the flip over.

The crews are in hospital report stated. Hope they will recover quickly.
