5-year-old boy, kindergarten principal bitten by two hunting dogs in Kagawa

Two hunting dogs entered the grounds of a kindergarten in Mitoyo, Kagawa Prefecture, on Thursday, and bit a 5-year-old boy and the 55-year-old woman principal.

Police said the dogs showed up on the sports ground of Mitoyo Municipal Yoshizu Kindergarten at around 11:40 a.m. on Thursday, Fuji TV reported. The boy was bitten on the left leg, and the principal was bitten on the left hand.

The male and female dogs are about 80 centimeters long, police said, adding they are owned by a 65-year-old man. He was quoted by police as saying they were in the midst of wild boar hunt when the dogs went missing.

One dog was caught on the school grounds while the other one was found in the nearby mountains around 2 hours after the incident.
