A 72-year-old woman was hit and killed by a train after she fell off the platform onto the tracks at JR Fujisawa Station in Kanagawa Prefecture.
According to police, the incident occurred at around 10 a.m. on Thursday. Broadcaster TBS reported that the woman fell into the path of a train on the Tokaido line. The impact of being struck by the train sent her flying back up onto the platform where she hit a 69-year-old woman, police said. The second woman suffered a fractured skull.
Police did not say whether the 72-year-old woman jumped or fell onto the tracks.
After the incident, train services were suspended, affecting about 11,000 commuters, JR officials said.

You have got to love the reporting here...
The title says "FALLING off platform", the first paragraph says "FELL off the platform" and the second paragraph says "FELL into the path of a train."
So JT readers are being programmed to accept that the woman FELL onto the tracks before the third paragraph finally hints at the truth:
Which can be read as:
clueless
One wonders how someone can just fall off the platform?
Surely she wasn't using her phone at the time??
In any case RIP to the old girl.
