A 9-year-old boy remained in a coma on Tuesday after he and two companions were hit by a truck in Fukuyama City, Hiroshima Prefecture. Police said the two other children, aged 8, sustained minor injuries in the accident which occurred at around 3:15 p.m. Monday.
According to police, the truck, driven by a 66-year-old man, hit the three children as they were on their way home. It then went down an embankment and flipped onto its side before finally coming to a stop, Fuji TV reported. The driver was also hospitalized with minor injuries, police said.
Police said they will wait for the driver to fully recover before seeking more information from him regarding the accident.

The cops will wait for the driver to fully recover from minor injuries before questioning him. I'd like to think the best time would be now while it's fresh in his mind.
