Clearly, this combined strategy has been a failure.

What? 20 critical in Tokyo. You call that a failure?

@wolfshine. I said 'quicker', not 'easier'. That's two posts you have read incorrectly now.

I wasn't talking about the UK. I was primarily referring to Japan - as this is where I am resident and this website is called 'Japan Today'. I flew to Heathrow in October. Took me longer to get through than my return to Haneda did - and I am a UK Citizen.

The government needs to stop buying new mRNA doses. Approve the Shionogi Pharmaceuticals domestically produced vaccine. Remove the 3X vaccination/PCR negative requirement for entry.

Why?

In all fairness, that's I should have asked. 'Why?' Encourage responsible travelling. Keep the anarchic riff-raff out.

Number of death again so high! Focus should be on that rather than just reporting the number of infections daily!

127,422 new coronavirus cases

As long as they continue the PCR type testing this will never end, the PCR was never meant to be used to detect a sickness or find a virus, it was invented only for scientific purposes, you can find almost anything you want with a PCR test. One need only listen to Kary Mullis the noble prize winner who invented the PCR test to understand what's going on, he died just before the Plandemic broke out.

well @wolfshine. Having had the Moderna shots is quite convenient now, gets me in and out of here and the USA with no trouble. Thanks for your tax Yen Buddy!

Well @theResident, having not had any mRNA shots, I was able to get in and out of the UK as a tourist without any trouble either.

I'm happy that you feel the doors of the world are unlocked thanks to your support of a mega corporation, though, I would prefer entering into Japan if it was more like London-Heathrow.

Japan has the highest infection rate in the world again, no? Stay safe all.

You haven't actually tried to refute my statement that the UK policy is objectively better. Not only have they moved on past absurd Covid-related gatekeeping, they have automated gates that open when you scan your passport. I didn't even need to talk to anyone.

To try to argue that leaving Haneda is easier than Heathrow is not only wrong, it's laughable. All to defend already bad policies by decision makers in Japan as a means of signalling your unwavering Moderna loyalty.

Vaccines still not working….what a waste of time! Lucky this variant is relatively mild as the vaccines were made for alpha and the old omicron variant. Funny why have all the current variants been called omicron when previously every new variant was given a new Letter??? Probably because the “new” bivalent vaccines were made for the old Omicron variant! We must be up to Ps sigh by now I. Reality….

74 deaths were vaccinated ones

Over one hundred deaths a day, and it looks like it is going to get worse heading into 2023.

Throughout all of 2022 (including the winter), we have been dealing with the Omicron variant, and the available data clearly supports this. But deaths keep increasing with each new wave. This is despite the population wearing masks, and the government buying and offering people new mRNA boosters. Clearly, this combined strategy has been a failure. Pointing to a hypothetical/imaginary 2x, 3x, 5x, or 10x number of deaths is not a serious defense of this policy, one which is heavily damaging the Japanese economy.

The "scientific communities" still running cover for the mRNA manufacturers either...:

-Work for the manufacturers

-Work for the government and want to mitigate PR damage for the politicians

-Work for a university and get grant money
