Japan reports 36,605 new coronavirus cases

Japan on Friday reported 36,605 new coronavirus cases, down 9,085 from Thursday. Tokyo reported 3,495 new cases, down 843 from Thursday.

The number of infected people hospitalized with severe symptoms in Tokyo is 10, down three from Thursday, health officials said. The nationwide number is 131, down 12 from Thursday.

The number of coronavirus-related deaths reported nationwide was 63.

When the number of infections reaches a level that is not worth some noise anymore, the new headline will be "EAST ASIA REPORTS 45,456 new coronovirus cases". Before it was just about Tokyo (but the cases nowadays are too low to merit a news). Now it's about Japan. Hihihihi...

Well, according to the jgov there are

8,836 patients in hospital and 4,151 in hotels. I think the healthcare system is just fine.
