I hope they recover.

considering the population of Tokyo, this data means vaccines and masks are working.

Well done Japan. You're doing great!

PS. How's my spelling?

Both my wife and I tested positive today. mostly asymptomatic, bad headaches scratchy throat. You don’t need to ask, we are fully vaccinated, probably why we are mostly asymptomatic, the vaccine doing it’s job. The fun part, I get to quarantine for 7 days!

Yeh I had it last week and was “mostly asymptomatic” must have been my natural immunity and not the useless vaccine designed for a long dead variant….!

Amazing how that works.

Wonderingbif these numbers will be released or relevant enough to publish after 8th May?

Look at the front page Asahi shinbun now and rhe key points are that most places won't be required to tell the Gov a Covid case has come to their clinic or not.

Masks will ne a personal choice, indoors or outdoors.

Payment of vaccines will be covered by Gov until at least April and after that if apply it seems to get some money off.

They won't be able to have any SoE or any other 'prevention' (cough, cough) measures due to it being class 5.

It will just be like the flu.

Must have been your imagination but sometimes even that becomes symptomatic so still lucky.

Better get tested to be sure

It's quite probable that you wouldn't even have caught the virus if you have relied on completely on your natural immune system.

Millions of people completely dead because they've only their natural immunity to rely on

Quarantine measures re C19 will also be dropped 8th May so no PCR or 3x vaccines will longer be necessary for arrivals.

Without cases, I guess there will be no way to tell if this increases or doesn't make a difference to dailly numbers.

There will still be data from designated places/hospitals so there will be estimates at least like what done for flu

Yeah. Good point Ian. Just a bit less I suppose.

Not catching the virus in the first place while being unvaccinated is in fact the optimal outcome.

Good luck with that pipe dream. Get the vax. You know you want to.

There is absolutely no support for this claim, acquired immunity only comes AFTER infection (and all the risk that come with it) vaccines work by letting people get this immunity without the risks, and work even on people that have been previously infected, which completely contradicts what you believe.

Not catching the virus in the first place while being unvaccinated is in fact the optimal outcome.

Relying on unrealistic scenarios for an optimal outcome makes no sense, it is like saying that nobody driving so nobody has to wear a seatbelt is the best way to avoid traffic accident deaths.

Just left a German restaurant in Kichijoji. Some weirdo had a belting cough! And entertained everyone with it. Nice.

I hope he is vaxed for his own good!!

@Roy, Virusrex, and Elvis and a few other sensible people that understand facts, and science, thank you. I suppose I really don’t care if I get down voted or not. I’m just thankful that I have a vaccine that has kept me from getting the worst of the worst. I did my job, I followed the rules the (3 C’s). I did my part for both myself and the well-being of the people around me. Apparently there’s people here that only care about themselves and their opinions and false truths, which have nothing to do with facts.

@MumbaiRocks! - Yes, fanatical is a good word to use. Was in a restaurant last night and two people on a table opposite kept taking a bit of their food and drinks before quickly donning their masks every minute. What difference does it make? Why can’t people walk in country parks massless? What actually is going on here?
