Japan reports 89,887 new coronavirus cases

Japan on Saturday reported 89,887 new coronavirus cases, up 5,512 from Friday. Tokyo reported 9,457 new cases, up 1,165 from Friday.

The number of infected people hospitalized with severe symptoms in Tokyo was 19, down three from Friday. The nationwide figure was 261, up one from Friday.

The number of coronavirus-related deaths reported nationwide was 101.

considering the percentage of the population that are vaccinated, it is going to much higher than 60% vaccinated.
