Many thanks for your awesome achievements.

My thoughts are with your family.

A true Japanese hero.

"The world lost a great and gracious man -— one who made a difference in lives as a scientist and a human being," Purdue President Mitch Daniels said.

That says it all.

A great scientist from the time Japan was a real world power in the field, before science lost its priority and Japanese universities stopped preparing the students to become world class leaders on their fields.

A true genius! Humanity is poorer without you! RIP

Before I changed my major to computer science of which I have a BA in, I took some organic chemistry classes and the memorizations and hard mental work involved proved that it wasn't my bag. Yes, they actually do use 'molecular' building sets to construct molecule models and it is like Legos, if you can remember exactly where each atom goes and which kind of bonds you use. That is some really rigorous stuff and it does take a genius to recall every single molecular structure in that manner. I mean it's really tough.

What a great person who contributed to society.

He certainly has and he shared a Nobel Prize for it. And the world is a better place because of him.

RIP Ei-ichi Negishi and Domo.
