What is causing the slow collapse of standards in Japanese airlines recently?

Rather than ANA, this is another bad headline for Boeing.

Another Boeing quality issue?

Japanese companies are using too many parts that are made in China, that's the reason for drop in quality and reliability. Japan needs to increase domestic production of parts for EVERYTHING and stop buying Chinese garbage! I can't buy anything that doesn't say Made in China!!!!
CaptDingleheimer
That made absolutely zero sense.

Boeing 787-800 Dreamliner
At lest it is not as bad as other things that went wrong with the Dreamliner in the past.

China goods are everywhere.

Every aircraft has component failures eventually. The crew received the indication and performed admirably. In other times this would not have made the news. We are just hyper-focused on every anomaly since Boeing's difficulties

ANA is not at fault here. This is a BOEING issue. If you make even the slightest effort you will find all the information that a certain whistleblower has spilled about the BOEING 787 series. Do your research!

What's with ANA and the current drop in quality for their planes? Are they skipping on maintanance? They still keep callous prices, so I don't think money is the issue here.
Also, another slap for Boeing, and it's recent drops in quality everywhere.

Japan does not manufacture these planes, maybe you meant "Boeing" instead of Japan?

About that whistleblower, I hope he does not suddenly commit suicide...

When I was a pilot we used to say "if it ain't leaking it ain't working". If we didn't see at least a little bit of pink hydraulic fluid leaking we worried all the fluid had leaked out. A full sight glass and a bit of leakage were comforting.

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries manufactures 35% of the overall 787. MHI is responsible for the composite wing box, the largest such composite structure in aviation in addition to other components MHI makes for the 787.
ANA was the first customer for the 787.

The engineers and maintenance crews are Japanese.
