Ughhh, we don't need this expo. It's a waste of money, it's already crowded enough and we sure as hell don't need another weird Banpaku look a like art statue. I wish Japan would let the citizens vote about these event, not only a few oyaji.

Aw, how cute. Osaka saw how much Tokyo was wasting on the Olympics and wants to show that it, too, can destroy its (already destroyed) finances by lavishing money on infrastructure for a one-off international event that everyone will completely forget about the second it is over.

i wonder if osaka consulted with aichi before submitting their bid. i remember a few years ago that aichi also hosted expo.

if wikipedia is to be believed, the aichi expo in 2005 cost 340 billion but, because of better than expected turnout netted a profit of 10 billion. spend 340 just to make 10, unexpectedly? it doesn't seem like a very wise course of action.

Wow, that only took three days to ask... and three of those days were holidays. I've never seen anything go through faster in Japan in my life. There won't be any panels formed or discussions for this one. Where's this money going to come from? The people of Osaka. Hope they're happy.

Amazing how they come up with the money (LOTS) for sporting crap, and then plead penniless on education, so that walls that have not been maintained for 30 years fall down on school children with the slightest tremor.
