Well said, PM Kishida. This loss is certainly a huge shock for Japanese people, who can closely relate through having their own Royal family.

Rest in Peace.

She’s been the face of Britain for over 70 years. The longest serving monarch in British history. A great lady who actually drove a truck in WW2. She was 96 years old. We shouldn’t be sad she died. We should be grateful for her many years of service and her achievements.

I get tired of calling the passing of people that reach good ripe old ages "a great loss". More like, we were lucky to have her. No one lives forever... so why lament it as a loss when we were lucky to have her for so long. The Queen is Dead, Long Live the King.

I think her death, will lead to to final dissolving of the British empire, when Scotland and Northern Ireland exit, since Biden is pro Irish ,it will happen soon.

The British Empire ceased in 1926, the year Queen Elizabeth was born and became the Commonwealth. Incidentally, right now, the United Kingdom and it's Commonwealth has never been more united. Also, President Biden would not interfere with UK politics. The above comment is very out of touch with reality.

Kishida praised the queen's "extremely important role in world peace and stability",

Kishida's rote, meaningless comment deserves the same:

But was she really?

A great loss for the world? Really?

A big event for the UK and parts of the Commonwealth. An important world news item undoubtably but the majority of the world will carry on just like nothing happened.

Hoping the UK doesn't get carried away like it did over Diana.
