Huge numbers! Another big increase.

Okinawa numbers are especially high.

And the next wave is coming soon; it is brewing in the UK, will hit the US after, then make its way to Japan, as the pattern of these variants is to move from east to west.

Japan needs a lockdown.

@Reckless

I had a heckuva cold the last few days but it is just sneezing, runny nose and headaches.

I guess this the 100000000 times that you are telling us that.

I have symptoms here, I have symptoms there...

What is your purpose of telling us that aaallll the time???

@Steven

Wouldn't 'completely open' include independent private travel for visitors without relations or business purposes movingly freely within the country? That's not currently the case, so I wouldn't say its 'completely open' for all criteria of people.

Some random dude called Mike could not current take a last minute flight to narita and go stay at a love hotel or wherever he feels like for a week.

@joykiller what is spreading now is far less severe. If you are vaccinated you have very little to worry about. Relax already

The borders are completely open …. Different rules for different types of tourists….. so random Mike could come on a harsher set of restrictions…. But still open …

Even if you aren’t vaccinated you have nothing to worry about! The vaccine was made for the alpha variant NOT the omicron one or whatever we are up to now!

I’ve had worse colds than omicron and happily I am unvaccinated and now have natural immunity at lest against omicron….

Open up move on enough with the scare mongering!
