Many people said that Omicron wasn't as dangerous as Delta one's, but at least for Asians Omicron killed more Asians than previous one.

Indeed. More than 20 percent of ALL covid-related deaths in Japan happened during the span of a single month, this past February.

Lift all quarantine requirements on residents.

This is so funny. I wonder if anybody believes this?

Rocket Lees: "Indeed. More than 20 percent of ALL covid-related deaths in Japan happened during the span of a single month, this past February."

Well, out of deaths proven to be linked to Covid. Remember that they were doing their best to avoid autopsies and calling it anything but Corona that was the cause in the beginning, and not only here.

klausdorth: "Agree that it's still better than in other countries, like Germany, where they see an average 200.000 new infections."

Because Germany is actually testing en masse, self-test kits are available, drive-through testing, etc. Here, you can only get tested if you're symptoms, IF THEN, and most places actually turn you away if you have symptoms. So, if you don't, you can't then get tested (and it's not covered by health care), and then some. Plus, it takes a few days on average to get the results. Lest we forget, Kanagawa Prefecture, as one example, just flat out stopped testing because they positivity rate was too high. What's the number of tests that got the 10,000 + number? because it's not the population of Tokyo. More likely 10,000 out of 14,000 tested. Just wait until the government buckles and lifts the quasi-SOE to appease people who want to get drunk at hanami parties and in large groups at that.
