Tokyo reports 10,321 new coronavirus cases; nationwide tally 63,703

The Tokyo metropolitan government on Sunday reported 10,321 new coronavirus cases, down 1,241 from Saturday and down 2,614 from last Sunday.

By age group, 1,478 cases were in their 20s, 1,728 in their 30s, 1,816 in their 40s and 1,012 in their 50s, while 1,308 were aged between 10 and 19, and 1,845 younger than 10.

The number of infected people hospitalized with severe symptoms in Tokyo is 75, up two from Saturday, health officials said. The nationwide number is 1,482, down 25 from Saturday.

Nationwide, the number of reported cases was 63,703. After Tokyo, the prefectures with the most cases were Osaka (6,707), Kanagawa (5,697), Saitama (4,952), Aichi (4,344), Hyogo (3,640), Chiba (3,524), Fukuoka (2,887), Kyoto (1,749), Shizuoka (1,367), Ibaraki (1,257), Shiga (954), Nara (892), Hiroshima (837), Gunma (674), Tochigi (667), Mie (663), Ishikawa (591), Okinawa (586), Okayama (562), Gifu (556), Toyama (526), Kumamoto (464), Niigata (453), Kagoshima (426), Aomori (421), Kagawa (417), Fukui (348), Nagano (346), Tokushima (338), Nagasaki (332), Fukushima (325), Iwate (322), Wakayama (294), Oita (291), Yamaguchi (258), Saga (240), Miyazaki (232), Ehime (209), Yamagata (198), Yamanashi (181), Akita (173), Kochi (162) and Tottori (141).

The number of coronavirus-related deaths reported nationwide was 143.

.....and of course that is the only figure that matters. 75 out of 15 million, i.e. de facto nothing. 

Obviously the naysayers wouldn't be so if someone close to them had an agonic death because of corona.

.....and of course that is the only figure that matters. 75 out of 15 million, i.e. de facto nothing. Meanwhile Omicron runs through the population. Everyone will come in contact with Omicron, and the vast majority of people will have zero problems with it. But the media just continues to feed us these meaningless "case" numbers.
