no. Singapore having a surge now. Why are you so determined to paint a negative picture of the situation in Japan?

Yes, Yes, and YES Japan, you really did shine this time, thanks to all the hard working people who managed to pull it off, and thanks to each and every person who got vaccinated and followed the rules, well done.

Sad to still see these meaningless figures about "cases", which really only means people with symptoms who get tested.

Fact is the virus is out there, most of has have been exposed to it and all of us will be exposed to it, period.

Stay healthy, and get either vaccinated or when necessary get the antiviral drugs, of which there are several now.

The virus is now endemic and will not go away.

Dont waste your time about it. He is too unhappy and negative about whole situation. Am just glad right now that the situation pretty normal here in Tokyo and all business will recover.

Statistically ZERO cases in a population as massive as Tokyo. Things are going well. Go To Travel will start up giving a big boost to the tourism economy which will tide them over until they let foreign tourists in sometime next year. Slow and steady improvements.

Yes, correctly stated.

until they let foreign tourists in sometime next year.

I hope they don't let them in for at least a decade.

Can we assume that the number of deaths, such welcome news yesterday, is not also zero today?

-4 ( +2 / -6 )

The number of deaths (if any) will be reported later at around 7 p.m.

Thanks to the combination of high vaccination rate, herd immunity and a non-obese population. Now we just need Japan to remove the pointless quarantine requirements upon entry.
