Not alarming at all...

Huge Okinawa numbers.
And a very high positive test result rate.
Another wave is on the horizon; 3-4 weeks away.
In the meantime, mask up, stay home, eat and dine in.
Have a drinking party online with your friends and co-workers. There is plenty of time to get out and about in the upcoming months.
This is a deadly disease.
Remember--the life you save might be your own.

yeah it can’t get anymore narcissistic when someone uses that term in the comment section of a public forum. VERY grating

@Steven McCarthy : You're not going to get your lockdown even though numbers will surge from the middle of next week.
To others, Kishida is not about to 'fling' open the borders to all and sundry - suggest you read the news properly. Until they abandon testing on arrival which is now stretched to its limit then its going to be very gradual and slow changes.
As for masks? It doesn't matter what the Government says, large shops, the train companies etc. will continue to ask you to wear them anyway and have every right to do so... And yes, I dislike it as most of you do and it's been a long time since I've worn one outside, but pretty much everybody is despite that never being something you HAD to do.

Great news and great numbers! Can’t wait for the borders to open and masks to be no longer the norm!

Kishida just announced some news on reopening the country in June. I think it make sense since japanese tourists are traveling basically everywhere without any restriction
