The Tokyo metropolitan government on Saturday reported 29 new coronavirus cases, up four from Friday and six more than last Saturday.
The number of infected people hospitalized with severe symptoms in Tokyo is 12, unchanged from Friday, health officials said. The nationwide figure is 100, down three from Friday.
Nationwide, the number of reported cases was 241. The number of coronavirus-related deaths was two.

Perhaps ‘give it a rest’ ? - Truly affluent people don’t feel a need to advertise their wealth nor do they need government coupons to travel & eat out. Just go & enjoy. Government subsidies should go to aid small business, indigent families and the poorly paid wage owners in Japan that are still required to pay consumption taxes on everyday necessities.

We are now in a phase of the pandemic where a positive covid test is no longer a potential death sentence, so long as you are vaccinated.
I am more interested in knowing how many people are being hospitalized, and what their vaccination status is.
