And in my train-car, nobody talks.

So the risk is very low

I guess nobody breathes, nobody touches the straps, seats, doors etc

Dont worry!

I am doing that 6 days a week.

And I am still OK.

I don’t want to speak for Reckless, because I know it may confuse you and you’ll think we’re the same person… but, I’m pretty sure they’re not afraid of riding the train, but instead would prefer to avoid being crammed in like a sardine. I mean, who in their right mind would choose to do that if they didn’t have to?

The number of coronavirus-related deaths reported nationwide was 32.

I assume all the other deaths occurred either at home or in hospital beds not designated for covid sufferers, and so they're not counted as part of the official stats.

Riiiight, anyone who dies of Covid in a non Covid designated hospital is listed simply as dying of “unknown causes.” That’s how the Japanese are hiding 100s of thousands of Covid deaths. You can easily pull that off in a country like Japan which doesn’t believe in keeping records at all. It’s such a laid back country. Anything goes here. No autopsies, no records. As a matter of fact, I got my drivers license at scooter shop down by the beach.

One has to wonder... over whether an invested interest keeps the numbers low...

My only fear is that we will get back to normal then I will have to restart my horrible commute on crowded trains.

Ill be starting my commute back to office tomorrow. Cant wait actually tired being at home and working from home.

I wonder why you wonder, there should be no doubt of that

hate to sound like a broken record but doesn’t say how many people were tested..yes, low numbers but is that 300 from 3000 tests or 30000 tests? it’s relative.

I’ve been riding the trains for the past year and I’m still here.

falseflagsteve

Ah ok I totally missed it if that's the case.

It's stickman's comment which I assume to be a reply to it that I read as sarcasm.

Anyway, glad thread's mood seems to be light in general

I was being sarcastic. There is no way in this country where it takes about 10 forms to buy an iPhone that they are going to fudge the papers on someone’s death. It’s just not going to happen Olympics or no Olympics.

Fake to be flagged. Almost all patients are tested before admission to avoid a spike. Japan's excess death has shown negative figures; last year declined by about 30,000. Crematoriums must report, be accountable to authorities. Or please discover mass graves hiding 30,000 bodies.

Man, sorry to say that, but this is the highest level of paranoia.

Are you walking around the whole day and night with rubber gloves?

Dont touch anything?

Dont open doors, dont push elevator buttons, dont touch the money you received back from convinience store...?

Come on Man...

First time I've encountered a theory like this.

You serious?

Seems the numbers are still extremely high today.

This is far from over.

@Fuzzy or Zoroto or whoever you are now,

I mean, who in their right mind would choose to do that if they didn’t have to?

That is exactly the point...I have to!

If you remember my posts, no home office is implemented in my company.

But my company joins the vaccine program.

So I hope that probably in August, I can be fully vaccined.

About scramming in full trains, that is Tokyo working peoples style.

If you dont like it, buy a car, use bicylce, walk or quit your job and look for something more convinient to your own needs.

@Reckless

Dont worry!

I am doing that 6 days a week.

And I am still OK.

Just wear your mask and try to find a place close to open windows.

The trains I am using, I know the car numbers which windows are open.

And in my train-car, nobody talks.

So the risk is very low.

Today there are only 32,603 confirmed Covid-19 patients in all Japan, out of 126 million people.

Hardly an emergency and the number of active cases is still declining everyday and the number of vaccinations is increasing.

Compared that situation with many other countries worldwide.

Japan is doing fairly well.

All going well as predicted. Normality resumes soon and we can forget about all the inconvenience we have had to put up with the last year or so.

-10 ( +11 / -21 )

Weekend numbers, but new cases falling around the country, and recoveries continuing to outpace new infections. Vaccinations at 1M doses a day.

Not good for the doom and gloom merchants on this site who want Japan to be devastated by this pandemic, but good for Japan.

So rare that the first two posts are positive and optimistic about Japan's pandemic situation. We all know things are getting better day-by-day. It is excellent to see.

Osaka below 100, yes my son!

Was around Namba and Shinsaibashi today, jammed packed. Some any families and young couples out having fun, great stuff. Local bars full on my way home, all selling alcohol. Things almost back to normal, bye bye Covid and good riddance.
