Before anyone starts complaining about the increase in last Thursday, please remember we had a national holiday last Wednesday. The numbers are still holding well here.

Well, well. The numbers seem to be steady. Good news so far, and I am happy that Japan is cautious in opening the borders - step, by step.

Why is that @GS?

Nice photo & autumn weather. Perhaps we should all get out and leave any ‘gatekeeping’ to Disney & USJ for the time being, eh? - Everyone’s welcome, accept for the troublemakers ?

Thanks to "falseflagsteve" for pointing out the "usual suspects" among us and for acknowledging those among us who live in Japan. Where would we be without your invaluable input!!!

I think I used my allotment of scare quotes.

Still very good news. Would be helpful to see the breakdown by age-groups.

I see. And that’s also why they panic and intend increasing corona intensive care hospital beds about 30%, I guess.

In my company there are several engineers waiting for permission to enter the country. And the bureaucracy is absurd, now that they are advertising border opening, it's not open at all. For the average people, you can even be detained for several days for trying to enter Japan and if you don't cooperate they can remove your residence status, the virus used as excuse.

This is all politics, the USA is the biggest Covid focus ever, but Japan impose less restrictions than on other countries such as UK. we all know why.
