Anyone know where to see Osaka's daily test numbers?
Today Osaka is 1,220, but wondering how many testes this is based on.

You can also find info per prefecture from the same article that's linked to this JT article:

Just scroll down to 'Each Prefecture', and choose the prefecture you'd like to check from the drop-down menu.

The Koike magic show continues, unfortunately, the media and the greater majority of
the populace thanks to the mainstream media believe these daily numbers conjured by
Koike like a magician.

...and, about comparing the stats for PCR tests in Tokyo & Osaka. The Tokyo one looks like it was drawn by a ruler - almost never exceeding 10,000 per day, and each correlating weekday roughly in the same numbers. Osaka's is more organic and natural.

Popped down to JR Namba this afternoon to assess the current situation
As busy as a usual Sunday I would say, took luncheon there were no partitions and nobody wore masks whilst talking.
Life is as normal and that’s very pleasing after seeing what has been happening in the West. Stay healthy everyone and enjoy the outdoors, that is the best way to remain ok

Getting tired of waiting for the supposed higher number of tests promised, optimistic me still was expecting the numbers to ramp up on the next wave, but we are already on it and still less thank 10k per day for Tokyo, disappointing.

i swear some people will remain advocating lockdowns until the very last person on the planet has been vaccinated.
good luck with that.
meanwhile sane people continue to enjoy life.

"The number of coronavirus-related deaths reported nationwide was 15."
I wonder what the breakdown by age group is. And how is "coronavirus-related" defined?

Something is not being done right in Japan.

I hope Osaka has access to the vaccines (wakuchin), . . . especially those like Pfizer, Moderna . . . also treatment medicines for those who are infected . . . . beware of the J&J, and AZ vacc. (due to blood clotting, currently not being used in USA).

Zoroto: "Up 25% from last Sunday, the only meaningful comparison."
Bingo! That, and the positivity rate, are the only numbers that have any meaning. I doubt very much even the number of serious cases reported, and definitely the deaths. Meanwhile, Osaka is scrambling for a new name to call doing nothing, and distancing itself from the "Osaka Model" Yoshimura bragged about and was pressed to explain himself by Edano with the rise in numbers (and asked to resign if "Manbo" didn't work).

Most just have 2 testes!

The number of tests have not been shown for Sunday 18th. The number of tests in Tokyo show are for 15th.
I bet fewer tests wee conducted to keep the numbers low on Sunday 18th.
