I'm really curious.
Could you post an example testing guideline of a country?
So we have an idea of what exactly are the differences with Japan
ian
Agree.
Cases have been low in Japan even before there were vaccines, attributed commonly to almost everyone wearing masks and following other prevention measures.
If vaccines were responsible for the sudden drop I'm curious at what point in the vaccination (percebtage of population inoculated) did infection suddenly drop.

Neither are they!!!
Lack of knowledge is a problem with the antivaxxers!!!

NO ONE thought that we will get to this point!!
Good Job everyone, keep up the good work so we can get back our life style and hopefully defeat this monster.

Japan is very selective at PCR testing.
Comparing to the vastly available and promoted free testing other countries.
That's what makes Japan have low numbers.

Every country using the Big Pharma vaccines have reported the same thing. A drop in cases (during the warmer months) followed by an explosion in cases. In Japan, the surge will happen just in time for mid winter. If the trend holds, it'll be carnage in January in Japan. As for myself, natural immunity. Wasn't any fun but never thought it was going to die. I'll continue to use my fake pass and have real immunity rather than have the "paper immunity" the Big Pharma vaccines offer.

They don’t have to be, I’m not with them either. I still find it odd though.

I am sure the Japanese government isn’t too concerned about that!!!
bass4funk
No, I don’t know because I don’t keep up with none of that, I hear from my neighbors about how the numbers were spiking, but as to why or what they were doing to get it down, I had no clue.
Hmmm…..I’m not buying it entirely.

@bass4funk - If you believe that for 'sure' then why did you find it 'odd' 6 minutes previously? You know exactly why the numbers are low. Vaccination and low testing. Period.
bass4funk
I definitely believe that for sure.

Fewer idiot antivaxxers and anti-maskers!

This is good news. We all know that. It shows the vaccines are working - and the speed which that they have been administered.
@rowiko68 - Simple answer, no conspiracy at all. As so many have been vaccinated, many infected will be asymptomatic instead of showing symptoms. As Japan doesn't test until the doctor is pretty convinced you WILL test positive, no symptoms, no test.
Other countries are still going ahead with pointless and expensive random testing hence the numbers elsewhere.
Other countries - mainly the USA with its rabid anti-vaxxer activists are making things worse there in way of hospitalizations and death.
bass4funk
Yeah, I noticed that as well, odd…..

Vaccination and masks work!

I think the speed and ferocity of summer's delta surge and the rapid overwhelming of hospitals scarred the government, they are being super cautious for the time being.

With numbers this low why are fully vaccinated returning residents still being made to self isolate?
Nibek32
I think we are seeing the benefits of the vaccines. Over 70% have had 1st vaccine. Many other countries will return to no precautions after vaccines, but Japanese continue to mask and follow preventative measures, for the most part. There are probably a lot of undetected cases of vaccinated people getting it and just not knowing so they don’t get tested, also may lead to low daily counts.

I wish everyday to fall to Zero hee hee
rowiko68
Certainly good news, though it seems strange that numbers have dropped so drastically just like that, while in all other countries figures are either stable at a relatively high level or point upwards? What makes Japan so different, I wonder?

While I was optimistic about the COVID situation improving in Japan, I did not expect cases to fall as quickly as they have. Has COVID just simply started to peter out?
