Let's sacrifice them. Well done.
And it's patently false that children under 10 haven't died. The numbers are very low, but there have been deaths, as there have been deaths of otherwise "healthy" people.
Saying I'll catch it rather than get the vaccine means that you either believe some type of misinformation, e.g., underestimating the dangers of the virus, or just don't care about the elderly and people with pre-existing conditions.

Sorry but this “brink of disaster, sky is falling”rhetoric has to stop. It is destroying society and people’s ability to live with Covid which is what we have to do. It’s been over two years now. The healthcare system has not collapsed and never will because of Covid. Please stop this nonsense.

Bored of it now!!

I’m really not sure why some people in Japan cannot understand basic truths. When ALL other variants of Covid were spreading here , the masses were not vaccinated yet. But there are those who still falsely claim that omicron is very mild and nothing to worry about . Daijobu. And here we are, the masses are vaccinated, we just came through the deadliest month from Covid. Yes Omicron with the masses vaccinated, killed more people per day than any other variant in Japan to date . Killed a teenager in Saitama on 2/9… a perfectly healthy teenager with no other medical conditions, was denied admission 4 times over a week. The last ride of his life on 2/9 was in an ambulance then later to his funeral. Why wasn’t he admitted? Because the healthcare system was and is still on the brink of disaster. Millions of people sent home or some hotel to recover , get worse , or die . There isn’t enough sugar in the world to candy coat basic truths . And data from other countries is just that and doesn’t apply here . Particularly because in Japan, omicron is the deadliest variant.

Steve McCarty occupancy rate of hospitals in Tokyo now is 53 percent. Sorry but that is not the brink of disaster
jder
It's been decreasing for the past month.

Just the facts … omicron is in fact the deadliest variant of Covid in Japan to date. A kindergartner in Kanagawa died from Covid on Thursday… yes he had other health issues. Was born with diabetes So for some , that’s acceptable and it’s the kids fault …. Right ? It’s great to see the masses of responsible adults getting boosted and their children vaccinated. The vaccines provide equal amounts of protection as getting Covid without the much higher chance of getting deadly ill and long term health issues.

Not pushing anything false despite my name. I have mentioned here before that I look at the risks of having or not having a medical procedure. For myself, I deceive not to take vaccines, if there was a far more deadly variant than my position would likely change.
The vaccines are pretty ineffective in the younger age group and there are risks in taking the vaccines. As I mentioned before zero deaths in the younger age groups.

of course the death of the young lad was very tragic to all of us. Yet, this was preventable, it was the fault of the health service, the hospitals in Saitama are not full and could have accepted him.
You will find that because deaths of teens are so rare it will make headlines. It is a rare event hence the headline.
There are millions Of teens in Japan and a handful of deaths, none under 10. Omicron is primarily a killer of the elderly and obese.

Yes, it has been decreasing for the past month. But I’m sure Certain people will come on here soon with their “ sky is falling” and “we are all doomed”narrative. Was out in downtown Tokyo on Friday night and am happy to report the bars were packed.
stickman1760
omicron is more transmissible so more (mostly older) people are getting it and that is bumping the number of deaths up compared to previous waves. But for vaccinated healthy people it is less of a threat as it doesn’t get into the lungs. These are the facts Steve. Stop pushing a false narrative

No one under 10 ? Kindergartener ? Kanagawa? Last Thursday? Dead from Covid. They really should ban people that constantly spread patently false information, lie more than Chandler Halderson. There’s a reason Osaka has a higher death count than Tokyo …. Highly irresponsible and ignorant people.

Why don’t the select few of you that wanna deny basic truths, come brag , boast , do the cha cha cha when the healthcare system is NOT on the brink as it is now . That 53% occupancy rate is only related to Covid. That’s an alarming number. When the case numbers plummet and the healthcare system has recovered, come dance then . Until then , stop spreading the virus of misinformation, patently false statements, junk science despite facts to the contrary, recommending overdosing on Vitamin D when you don’t need it . I understand that for someone who keeps pushing it that Vit D is also good for ED. As for learning to “live with Covid,” I agree to a certain point. When people stop dying in record numbers, and the case numbers become more manageable, when the hospitals aren’t over stuffed, when there isn’t a single symptomatic person sent to a hotel or home , we can all start to live with it. But the mere fact that currently, there are thousands of people in hotels because they are too sick to be sent home but allegedly not sick enough to be admitted to a hospital, that should wake some of you in denial up.

You fa to see the point, all will be infected, all can transmit. The likelihood of serious harm or king vivid are minuscule except for a tiny percent of vulnerable
Forinstance, zero under 10’s have died from Covid, that includes the far more dangerous variants.
falseflagsteve
Numbers continue to fall with the more contagious but far less deadly Omicron variant. Everyone will catch this vaxxed or not and it provides robust immunity, better than the vaccines against infection.
