Japan reports 92,741 new coronavirus cases

Japan on Saturday reported 92,741 new coronavirus cases.

The Tokyo metropolitan government reported 9,988 new cases, up 748 from Friday.

The number of infected people hospitalized with severe symptoms in Tokyo is 30, down two from Friday, health officials said. The nationwide number is 443, down 18 from Friday.

Other prefectures reporting high numbers were Osaka (7,435), Aichi (6,568), Kanagawa (5,336), Saitama (4,653), Hyogo (4,362), Fukuoka (4,012), Chiba (3,972), Hokkaido (3,751), Shizuoka (3,195), Hiroshima (2,405), Kyoto (2,028), Kagoshima (1,858) and Okayama (1,732).

The number of coronavirus-related deaths was 208.

Still 200-300 deaths everyday all summer. Very sad.

If you care about the numbers… the week on week decline has slowed the last week or so I think so not a good thing. Many old people still died because of this, which is sad, as probably many of them, if not all, had been vaccinated. Around 30 people died in Tokyo everyday the last few month is not a good thing to look at.

Well, here in Munich, 103,834 cases were reported, so Tokyo is still doing well.
