The body of a 27-year-old woman was found Monday on the roof of a terminal building at Narita International Airport.
According to police, the woman’s body was spotted by a passenger getting ready to board a plane at the departure gate at around 10 a.m., Fuji TV reported. The woman’s body, lying face-up, was on the first-floor roof of the Terminal 2 South Wing building, which is a restricted area.
Police said the woman, who had no passport or ticket, was wearing a green dress and still had her shoes on. They said she was a resident of Ehime Prefecture.
Police said she was confirmed dead at the scene and that apart from a head injury, there were no other external signs of injury on her body.
They believe she may have fallen or jumped from the 4th-floor observation deck 10 meters higher up, even though there is a four-meter-high fence there. The woman's handbag was found on the projecting roof of the third floor, but it is not accessible to the general public.

Is the observation deck that new one in the international terminal? Usually it's pretty crowded there isn't it?

"Fallen or jumped" over a four-meter fence? Japanese police doing a fine job.

The presence of her shoes and handbag indicates this was an accident, not intentional.
