Not confusing at all. Japan needs more people like him. And I would be interested to see any of his Abe-inspired works.

Some graffiti is art. It's just of a questionable medium.

If it's art, it's art. Some graffiti is amazing. Now, amazing or not I'd be unhappy if my property and/or neighborhood got vandalized, but your conflating two issues. The choice of medium is not what defines whether or not something is art.
When it's vandalism, I agree. But that doesn't change my original comment.

"On the busy streets of Shibuya, people who stopped to take a look were initially confused by the anti-Trump stickers."
No doubt wondering what it has to do with them, which is little (at the moment). In any case it looks like the surface was already written on quite a bit, so if this guy's getting written up it's for the message, not for the act.

I disagree a good friend started of as a Grafitti artist creating large Murals.
He now owns a company that paints murals on Garage Doors, etc. His work is in higj demand also from Companies and he is minting it now.
Very little overheads as his office is his Ap.

Where can I go see one of these works? Is that one in Shibuya still there?

Strangerland, I'll meet you half way. There was an area under train tracks in Yokohama a while back where people were permitted to express their artistic talents. So here I will agree as it was a designated area. It has been banned though and from what I heard, one reason was due to some people using it for political statements, and profanity, another being traffic accidents. The wall has since been cleaned up, at the taxpayer's expenses. And BTW continues to be cleaned up at the taxpayer's expense as well as so many other areas around the country. So I do 100% agree with this form of art as long as the artist has permission to do so.

Some of these are amazing, especially the ones of Abe.

By making grafto of US president, makers insulting USA Is this guy lanning WWIII or another atomic bob on Japan?.
Tonyyy
This artist plastered a sticker which is related to U.S.President Donald Trump.
Since Donald Trump is the guy who attacks anyone who insults him.
I think the artist should change the subject of his insulting sticker unless he is ready to take him on.

I despise DT, but I hate graffiti even more. So very, very sad to see Japan getting so much of it now.

Agreed.

Strangerland, is it still art when it's your property and/or neighborhood being 'vandalized'? Is this what we want to teach our children? Sorry but I don't think so.

Regardless of the issue, graffiti is not art, it's vandelism and cowardly, unless you get permission first.

Why is this criminal being supported?
This is a crime, no?
