As long as it hardens the nipples.

one way to fight shortage of elec power..now find somethng for men also but make sure cooling effect does not cause shrinkage !

21 ( +22 / -1 )

"Now I've seen everything"...sigh

No you haven't, this is Japan. The land of weird.

19 ( +18 / -1 )

Like there isnt enough padding in those things already. Women are going to wind up getting sued for false representation at this rate!

14 ( +18 / -4 )

Yeah! Save energy, Get Naked!!

11 ( +10 / -0 )

I know I know, it's just a novelty item, but still, the practical side of me tuts impatiently. My breasts do not suffer the heat of summer, but a bra's underwire support bit (what is that called?), and backstraps, do increase discomfort and collect sweat, which leads to chafing. Those are the parts of the bra that need a coolant! Stupid design, this!

...

I'll get my coffee.

11 ( +12 / -1 )

Its a never ending source of wonder how nature gave us perfectly good skin able to cool itself rather well, and human beings, in their far sighted genius, insist on covering it so it can't work. Then make half-arsed programs and inventions to not even half way make up for it.

8 ( +11 / -4 )

Any fish swimming in my cups will pay rent.

8 ( +8 / -0 )

Hey guys stop slaggin the j-lady's measurements.

At least in Japan you get a much better bust to back ratio than with western ladies for example where most of the measurement is back which is a waste LOL!!

6 ( +7 / -0 )

Both of these ladies are quite attractive.

6 ( +6 / -0 )

Now I've seen everything...sigh

4 ( +5 / -1 )

If I'm having a not-very-active day, chances are good I don't need a bra - not under my jammies! I would not bother with those sticky pads for the same reason that I wouldn't bother with this Triumph bra, or indeed most bras sold in Japan - they're all entirely impractical for someone who moves around, and who doesn't think underwear should show through formal / work clothing. Oh! i sound so disapproving! but all this lingerie, with its ribbons and lace and ridges and sequins and bells and whistles, it7s not meant to be worn under anything but a big smile, is it.

4 ( +4 / -0 )

I can do the same with my hands and ice cubes

4 ( +4 / -0 )

That looks hideous!!! And why would I want cold breasts?!

4 ( +4 / -0 )

Includes a wind chime and a sprig of mint, eh?

3 ( +3 / -0 )

The added bonus with these bra's is not only will it make the women feel cooler. But it will also make it look like they actually have something on their chests and not be as flat as a surfboard

3 ( +9 / -7 )

How is that a power saver?? Don't you need to put it in the freezer first?

The energy required to cool the bra's pads and create a refreshing sensation to the wearer is much less that the energy required by an air conditioning unit that creates the same sensation. The freezer is usually always on anyway.

3 ( +3 / -0 )

Wouldnt it be easier and cooler just going without bra?

Only for ladies who don't need a bra in the first place.

3 ( +4 / -1 )

Actually there are ice pants for men, helping to cool down there. Sperm needs a certain temperature to mature (much lower than the body's) and some men have fertility problems due to their too high basal temperature.

2 ( +2 / -0 )

Maria, no I haven't. My daughter tells me they're pretty good for not-very-active days, but with my delicate allergy-prone skin I'm not risking sticking anything onto such a vital area! Also I can see how they bring together, but uplift might be a problem....

2 ( +3 / -1 )

GW - YES SIR :).. I so much more prefer the J-Sizes, compared with especially the USA ones. (especially now, that finally the summer is coming).

I completely agree... but last summer when I stripped off my shirt at work, well... there was the screaming, the people gouging out their eyes in horror, and of course the crying and sobbing.... they did turn on the aircon after that though.

2 ( +3 / -1 )

Thanks for perking me up this morning JT :)

2 ( +2 / -0 )

Hard nipples anyone?

2 ( +2 / -0 )

Wouldnt it be easier and cooler just going without bra?

2 ( +2 / -0 )

I can't imagine walking around with ice on my chest. I guess it would be quite uncomfortable.

2 ( +4 / -2 )

Maybe, a no bra summer is in order....cool tits?

2 ( +2 / -0 )

Braless is the best, cheapest and most natural way to cool off. Be bold, confident and brave - go braless today :)

As for those 'nasty surprise' padded bras (a.k.a false advertising)..... They should be made illegal..

2 ( +3 / -1 )

aircon

Is this an English word now or a katakana word romanized by a lazy transliteralist?

Serrano,

These are traditional sounds and smells of a cool area during summer in Japan. Supposedly the chimes will trick the female Japanese mind into thinking it is cool.

1 ( +4 / -3 )

no, it's gonna shrink what's already small!

1 ( +7 / -7 )

WONDER BRA

1 ( +1 / -0 )

Japan, you have truly out-weirded yourself!

1 ( +2 / -1 )

How is that a power saver?? Don't you need to put it in the freezer first?

1 ( +3 / -2 )

Ah, Japan....never ceases to amaze me...

1 ( +1 / -0 )

OMG! LOL imagine them popping lol! the womens shirt all wet! BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA! xD love this invention <3

1 ( +1 / -0 )

I don't know if I'd want hard perky nipples all day long...

1 ( +3 / -2 )

Another month, another nutty Triumph theme bra. That is when you know you are in Japan.

1 ( +2 / -1 )

Hahahahaha....

1 ( +1 / -0 )

New meaning to the term "cold-hearted woman." As if there were not enough of them here already.

1 ( +1 / -0 )

Thomas Anderson: "You mean the "Bro"? From Seinfeld..."

MANZIER!! haha... love that episode.

1 ( +2 / -1 )

Cool!

1 ( +1 / -0 )

Little jack frost nipping at your....never mind.

1 ( +2 / -1 )

Purely a publicity stunt and you'll never be able to buy one of these at the store. The ice packs would only work for about 30 minutes or so before the person's body heat brings things back to room temeperature. Now the icepack containers become heat retainers preventing the breasts from air cooling. The wearer ends up becoming hotter than if she had used a more traditional bra design in the first place.

1 ( +1 / -0 )

While they are at it, they should also develop an ice panty too. hahahhaha

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Is this an English word now or a katakana word romanized by a lazy transliteralist?

Its an English word now. The beauty of a flexible language together with the beauty of chilly boobs.

0 ( +1 / -1 )

Only in Japan...

0 ( +1 / -1 )

I suppose an added benefit would be the wearer could also "cut glass", should the need arise.

0 ( +1 / -1 )

Ice packs on the girlies surely can't be good for them.

Maria, have you tried those wireless, backless, strapless bras that have been out for a few years now?

0 ( +2 / -2 )

How about the heat these will cause in men when the see the perkies

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Cleo, you mean those sticky ones, in beige shade? No I haven't. Have you?

0 ( +1 / -1 )

wouldnt the ice automatically switch the high beams on ?

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Japanese underwear has got to be the MOST un-sexy in the world. Besides, some girls I know just go without underwear when it's really hot, only wearing tight tank-tops and light, flowing imported skirts from India.

0 ( +4 / -4 )

Yet more padding eh?

0 ( +2 / -2 )

Ice pack cooling the breasts? The worst and the most dangerous ever.

The main reason behind breast cancer in both, men and women is the reduced flow of lymph fluid, provided through lymph vessels, that cleans the breast tissues from the accumulated toxic materials that partially a leftover from hormone activity.

Pressure from tight bras, lying and sleeping in prone position for prolonged time and excessive cooling that reduces the flow might trigger breast cancer that very often starts with the itching feeling in the nipples accompanied with skin irritation symptoms that normally sends sufferer to the dermatologists, who will mistreat it ointments.

All I can say these bras should be taken out of circulation as soon as possible and the health ministry should be notified and requested taking steps in the right direction.

0 ( +5 / -5 )

Hard nipples! Yes that would be awesome. Now I have an opener for meeting girls in Japan. LOL

0 ( +1 / -1 )

not fair! how about men's bra???!

0 ( +1 / -1 )

Hmmm, I guess inventing belly cooling belt is a better idea but... then everyone will look fat ;-)

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Fascinating

0 ( +1 / -1 )

@munya times: sorry but I just can't let that comment go. The information you are spreading above is absolutely false. Breast cancer causes are still being identified but the most common known ones are heredity, alcohol consumption, and hormone sensitivities - breast cancer has NOTHING to do with the flow of lymph fluid, and lymph flow is NOT restricted by tight bras cooling or anything else (surgery can cause lymph blockages though but this is usually after cancer has been diagnosed).

The specific disease you a referring to is called Pagets disease. It is a rare and aggressive form of breast cancer that does start with itching around the nipple and discharge and yes, is sometimes misdiagnosed, partly because it is so rare. The cause of it is not known.

This information is not from me but from a family member (30 years experience in breast specialist unit in the UK). But please don't spread myths about this serious disease.

Back on topic please.

Well clothes protect our skin from the heat of the sunlight.

not fair! how about men's bra???!

You mean the "Bro"? From Seinfeld...

0 ( +0 / -0 )

@OMGhontoni

This is not about breast cancer but about bras and ice pack. I know Paget disease well I didn't want to give so much details as it is just one variation of the Paget disease that is not restricted to breast.

But the point is about the bras and my point is , whatever the reason is for breast cancer, the body has its own immune reaction and healing capability that can be suppressed by tight bras or by ice packed cooling bras. This is the point and this is about the danger of ice-packing the bra. Precaution is needed.

In a nearly-naked publicity stunt, underwear firm Triumph Japan had models parading around showing off its “Super Cool Bra,” featuring what appears to be a pair of small fish tanks encompassing the breasts.

says it all.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Is this not heavy?

0 ( +0 / -0 )

I need an icepack after eavesdropping on Cleo and Maria's bra conversation.

Which reminds me of the times I've seen Japanese girl not only compliment each other, but grab each other admiringly.

..I'm turning into a sad old man.

Seriously, this made overseas news. No doubt my relatives will be asking me about it!

0 ( +1 / -1 )

How are men supposed to keep cool? Snuggle close to these as they're being worn by the women?

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Ice Ice Baby.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

totally stupid idea only japanese can think of. no wonder this country is going down the drain

0 ( +1 / -1 )

Save the cash! We'd gladly suffer dipping our hands in freezing ice cold water to keep your juggies cool, ladies!

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Ridiculous! I wouldn't wanna keep my boobies cold and frozen!? That makes them smaller as well!!!

0 ( +0 / -0 )

These cups are filled with a gel that remains soft and supple even when frozen,

If they're "soft and supple", then they can't be "frozen". The descriptions are mutually exclusive. What they MEANT to say was that the gel's freezing point is below the temperature that freezers keep items at.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

N-ice breaker!

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Is this a joke?

0 ( +0 / -0 )

It is funny. How about a vest with the same gel for men? I sure would like one when I am doing yard works.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

no wonder .. some j-girls are very stressed out each day at work and daily life ... and trying so desperately to enjoy life because they just don't know what to do all day or having to make a decision... they spend their lives worrying how they walk, how they sit, how they eat, how they drink, how they dress, and the list goes on ... its bad enough having to select which bra to wear each day from the thousand already available...

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Is it me or is it getting a little nippley in here?

There actually are vests with ice packs for wearing on motorcycles on hot days....

0 ( +0 / -0 )

I like the bra I think it is way "cool"!

0 ( +0 / -0 )

ahhh now they can make milk shakes too!!!

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Humm, From over the shoulder bolder holder to over the shoulder ice cube holder. My the prowess of Japanese technology!!

0 ( +0 / -0 )

I miss living there. Damn.....

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Personally, I think 'no-bra' would be cooler, healthier, and better for my eyes!

0 ( +0 / -0 )

I'd rather get hotter women than cooler ones. And no, it will not work.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

a good idea for women, in Italy it was hoped to find in the market immediately,But without those fish :D

0 ( +0 / -0 )

cool em down so i can fire em up!!

0 ( +0 / -0 )

A hot bra during winter against depression ? .Wait ! Let the Japanese go first .

0 ( +0 / -0 )

The 'padded' bra is much in demand in Japan and these gel filled cups will work wonders for the vast majority of women that need 'support'.......

-1 ( +1 / -2 )

I would'nt expect anything less from a country with a one track mind (1/4 of the magazines are boobs)...

-1 ( +3 / -4 )

Did you know that Japan almost always wins the yearly world's worst invention award? They also happen to create some of the greatest inventions in the world, but my point is that if this is a contender for the former.

Not only could this be harmful to a woman's health (I believe in hot weather, the blood should circulate towards the surface of the skin in order to maintain biostasis. Likewise, when it's cold (men can tell you this as well!) the blood (and some parts) are drawn inward for protection and to maintain warmth as much as possible. This kind of artificial cooling while the body temperature is hot poses all sorts of risks.

On top of that, given the sensitivity of nipples, I can't imagine it being all that comfortable for some to apply an ice-pack like surface to them.

An all around stupid idea.

-1 ( +3 / -4 )

Apologies mod and apologies also Munya Times. Didn't mean to gun for you, just wanted to be sure accepted medical opinion is out there not just unproven hypotheses.

On with the boob-talk! I have just come in from a run and to be honest, if they produced a sports version of one of these I might well consider buying it. The girls get kind of hot after a while and the extra support would be most welcome.

......erm....I'll get my coffee now too....!

-1 ( +1 / -2 )

While they are at it, they should also develop an ice panty too. hahahhaha

NO NO NO......there are enough women in the world that are already cold there we don't need to add to their numbers!

-1 ( +0 / -1 )

so they are going to be horny with a titty hard on all summer lol. who ever wears it cant even talk about it.

-1 ( +0 / -1 )

LOL besides the fact that they look uncomfortable as hell, you'll have a nipple stiffy all day!

-1 ( +0 / -1 )

...A traditional Japanese wind chime and a mint leaf dangle between the cups giving an impression of cooling 'by way of its refreshing fragrance and sound.' ...

Now I may be casting aspersions here, but surely, in a country where a large percentage of the female population sport nothing more than two fried eggs, only a man can come up with a design that purports to 'dangle between the cups'. There must be an awful lot of gel and wire there to create a 'between the cups', as any woman who wears an 'A' cup and tries to muster up a cleavage could tell you.

Can't wait for the kotatsu winter version.

-2 ( +0 / -2 )

ebisen,

I agree with you, I'm very very very happy with my "J-size" spouse and wouldn't change him for anything in the world ;-) Such a beautiful silky, practically hairless fair skin..yummy!
