I wish her personally, and her business all the very best. She has taken an incredibly difficult situation and made the best of it, looking to help others. That is a good woman.

I think this has been done already in Europe and America so reinventing the wheel. Perhaps she should talk to Abe about tariffs.

Breast cancer is a big problem in japan, and linked to smoking. We need more discussion.

All women over 40 need to a mammogram every two years.

No, they don't. What they need to do is check their breasts once a month for changes or new lumps. Although breast screening is a very useful tool it is not perfect and can bring up many false negative results. Too much screening can be as harmful as none at all. Plenty of studies out there.

didn't say it is the main cause but... "Smoking causes a number of diseases and is linked to a higher risk of breast cancer in younger, premenopausal women. Research also has shown that there may be link between very heavy second-hand smoke exposure and breast cancer risk in postmenopausal women."

Too much screening can be as harmful as none at all. ?

Why?

It seems a controversial topic. I think it goes back to a research study in Sweden. The article below is over two years old, so there have probably been various updates since then. But it covers the reasons that doubts have been raised about the effectiveness of screening programs.
