Cancer patients seek damages from Fukushima nuclear plant

After collapse of safety myth of nuclear plants, shameless complex of nuclear industries and LDP government and advertisement corporation Dentsu are fabricating safety myth of radioactivity in Japan.

They insist that no one had been victimized about Fukushima nuclear disaster with ignoring victims of USS Ronald Reagan crew.

They have no idea to change inhuman economy that victimize general citizen.

Prefectural officials and experts have said the high level of thyroid cancer found in Fukushima is due to an overdiagnosis, which might have led to unnecessary treatment.

This sounds like so much BS. What doctor in their sane mind is going to "overdiagnosis" a life threatening cancer, all in the name of some potential lawsuit to get a few bucks from the government for their patients treatment.

I want these so-called officials and experts to bring forward a list of people who were part of the over-diagnosis" and possible "unnecessary treatment", as if this was even remotely true, those who gave the treatment should be banned from practicing medicine, and sued for medical malpractice as well.

The disaster may not be the cause of their cancers, the understandable extra vigilance may be why it was found in the first place, but they should be allowed to seek damages and get them because this possibility is completely part of the consequences of the whole mess up.

The operators acted negligently and now people may have been affected, it is time to assume part of this responsibility.

I and maybe most of average you shouldn’t have too much understanding for getting up and work for those few becoming rich while we all barely can make ends meet and have other or similar health risks ourselves.

You must be joking. Who, in Japan, has ever become rich from a lawsuit? Assuming you're an adult, you can move if you're living in a radiation hotzone. These people were blameless children.

And Japan will soon release the treated water into the sea saying it's safe (^^)

The government doesn’t pay other than from all our and btw also the victims’ taxes and if the companies should have to pay compensation they also don’t pay themselves but their customers. The last in the chain pay, that’s always and everywhere the same, in this case will be too. And even without any compensations we already now have to pay the courts, lawyers and surrounding costs for that trial. The government and Tepco does not want to accept responsiblity because of the fear of many more people coming forward and filing lawsuits. It's easy to say "I am sorry" that is the Japanese way of kindly asking for forgiveness and atoning seeking leniency hoping the problem will go away.

If the govt. and Tepco are truly sorry as they claim to be, then this lawsuit shouldn't even be contested by them.

Definitely not a coincidence, very interesting to watch how the government handles this. I hope the victims get millions or billions, the place was an accident waiting to happen, literally.

A Tokyo court has begun hearings in a lawsuit seeking 616 million yen million in damages for six people who were children in Fukushima at the time of its 2011 nuclear power plant disaster and later developed thyroid cancer.

Japan Inc./the LDP will bail out every business affected by the pandemic or war in Ukraine before it will ever help a child affected by the Fukushima meltdown.

Thyroid cancer is highly curable. i pray they will recover and the medical bills is covered by the government. Fukushima people has been through so much.
