Carcasses of dead pigs found on Tochigi highway

The carcasses of more than 10 dead pigs were found on a highway in Oyama, Tochigi Prefecture, on Saturday morning.

According to police, the carcasses were found spread out over a 30-meter stretch of road at around 2 a.m. Saturday. A police patrol spotted the carcasses, Fuji TV reported.

Police said they are looking at surveillance camera footage to determine whether the carcasses were deliberately dumped on the road or whether they fell off the back of a truck.
