While the tuna/auction early morning action may benefit at Toyosu, the rest is pretty much a wash. It is a sterile, neat, clean, boring, designed-by-bureaucrats site that has sucked the life out of what existed in Tsukiji. Bring the shops and restaurants back to Tsukiji and perhaps leave the tuna etc. auction in their better environment. OR really address the issue and make something that will work for all...back in TSUKIJI, where it all belongs. So say I.

I'll drink to that!

Are people wimps these days. A bit of dust and everybody goes into auto-panic. Tsukiji could have been renovated.
Over the past 30 years, so much civic vandalism has been done to Chuo-Ku. I think that it is a shame.
