Could the usual supporters try explain this away please? Matters such as these are glossed over in educational materials. And one wonders why other nations have a bone to pick!!!

Weird. I thought that war was all about that Co-Prosperity Sphere.

Emperor Showa personally approved the deployment of chemical weapons on several hundred seperate occasions, something that you will have difficulty reading about in Japanese despite the evidence compiled by many Japanese and foreign academics. Amazing that they are still finding them more than 70 years later.

At least it is getting done then.

That's why many Japanese rightists believes 'Their War' could have been won if those 2 million plus deadly chemicals were used against the allies instead of choosing the surrender. Of course they were regardless of the vengeances from the ally forces might inflicted over their country's populations.

jj1067 at Jan. 18, 2017 - 11:58PM JST It's just politics. When China becomes a free country with freedom of academics then I would start listening to them. But now, it's just politics as everything is only politics under communist control.

How is this news 'just politics'? The facts are clear and the Japanese government is involved and it is reported on JT, a site NOT known to side with China at all.

What is the matter with people who can't deal with a pretty normal piece of news for once?

Deniers be like "What chemical weapons? Where's your evidence China?".
