Could the usual supporters try explain this away please? Matters such as these are glossed over in educational materials. And one wonders why other nations have a bone to pick!!!

How is this news 'just politics'? The facts are clear and the Japanese government is involved and it is reported on JT, a site NOT known to side with China at all.
