Chinese authorities take down major site hosting pirated Japan anime

Finally Chinese authority bow to Japan,

The authorities on Feb 14 detained a 33-year-old man living in the southwestern Chinese city of Chongqing, releasing him on bail on March 19 following an investigation, said the anti-piracy group, which includes major anime firms among its members.

Is there any chance of this person being extradited to Japan or being put in interpol list?

Now they just have to do that with sites where you can freely download Western films.

How are pirate sites these days? Are people in the rules based ordered West still using illegal torrents?

On illegal downloading sites and usage:

Chinese: Yes, I download. It’s free. Why pay?

Japanese: No, that’s illegal. Sore wa dame da yo!

Americans: No, it’s illegal. Then orders another 10 TB external hard drive for their illegal collection at home.

110% correct!

People below certain income level should be allowed to access movies, musics and arts without sharing. I think governments around the world should manage art web sites to allow access to people with a range of fees such as free for low income people and gradually increase and charge subscription fees depending on people’s income level. I am sure many companies and artists would participate in such a program. That could reduce piracy .

It's not as if the Chinese market does not have a plethora of ways to stream ad-supported free anime anyway.

We should promote Japanese manga to China, even for free, to improve cultural understanding and promote peace.
