yeah right
Good to see the Chinese ignored Japan's demand to leave its territorial waters. Just like Japan ignored Australia's demand that the japanese leave our territorial waters earlier this year. Ah karma! It's a good thing hey Japan!!!
gogogo
China admitted they belong to Japan, don't know what else there is to say.

This situation will go on forever. China enters the so-called Japanese territorial waters and Japan cannot and will not do anything about it as they are afraid to do so. So the game will be played like this forevermore. Got boring all ready.

hmmm is this really NEW news ??? Well, this happened today but it's the same old song and dance. One side or the other doing something to provoke the other into making a mistake that will in the end cost us all.... Personally I am sick of this S**T!!
electric2004
Putting the radioactive spend fuel from the damaged Fukushima reactors on these islands might help.
chooch
It's times like this where you'd love to give them exactly what they want.
electric2004
Hey Elbuda. That's a win-win, because China likes nuclear energy, too.
Herve Nmn L'Eisa
electric, great idea!

Like a bunch of unruly kids they'll keep at it stressing their juvenile behavior.

umbrella, no it is just pending the outbreak of conflict. Being soft is a green light to China.
mammamia
Governmentally piloted by the way..

The island dispute is blown wayyyyyyyyyyy out of proportion already. It's no longer just about the islands anymore.
yosun
Exactly! actually these isles already become place which no one really control.
Oh~ we're so scared! we're not like Japanese who already get used to radioactive...
MADCOWS
don't worry the chinese ships are lost at sea, they are using Chinese mad radar

I am so proud of the Japanese Coast Guard. They are so brave and determind to stand up against this EXTREME Communist Aggression that has laid siege to their Soverign Territory.
Gambatimasu!!
Don't give up an inch to those Dirty Communist Thugs!
Besides, if the Comminist Regime of China is sooooooooo certain to "their" claims to the Senkakku Islands then why not take their case to the "International Court of Justice" that was set up by the U.N. in 1945? But you know why the Communist Regime of China will not take their case to the ICJ? Because they know they will LOSE THEIR CASE, because the U.N. thinks that the Communist Regime of China is full of Sh** ...!!

Sink one China ship as a lesson to keep everyone out.
BlackcatBCB
Anyway, what can Japan do against China?
Bad2Dbone
JT Really?? what did say to each other? wondering!!

Chinese Ships entered disputed waters; just like Japanese ships have been doing.
gelendestrasse
yeah, this is getting rather tedious. Which side is more stubborn? Time will tell. But I doubt the Japanese government is going to give an inch. So, how far will China go?
supermonk7
Mine! No, mine! no, mine!

Since nobody will EVER send a Warship. This is a WinWin for Japanese since the JCG has the mighty Shikishima

Let's see if China can continue to be assertive. U.S. has sent two powerful fleet of battle-ready aircraft carriers into waters near a disputed island chain controlled by Japan, which calls them the Senkakus/Daiyou.
Hiniku
China is probing..... very shortly they will send a 50 ship armada and take the islands without possibly having to firing a shot. China is probably right now.... amassing as many ships as it can off their coast nearby the Senkakus..... when darkness falls they'll sail straight for the Senkakus and surround them. After that.... they will dare the Japanese to force them out. I'm sure Japanese and U.S. Satellites are closely watching Chinese Naval ship movements. Japan needs to be ready.... but they are afraid to surround the islands first with their ships since that will basically be telling the Chinese that if they want them then they'll have to fight for them. They're still hoping for a diplomatic solution. But that said.... the Japanese Navy is probably also getting its own little armada of ships strategically placed in order to counter a Chinese move. People.... this in just Conjecture on my part but I'd bet a lot of money that I'm right too.

Let's not forget that America's mutual defense treaty with Japan obligates the US to protect the Senkaku islands if Japan is attacked. Take note: "if Japan is attacked" and not "if"Japan is the aggressor." Yes, Japan is hard-pressed by China and the ROC to defend its interests, especially since its major islands have no oil and no natural gas to speak of and its people no longer want nuclear facilities on their islands. On the other hand, Japan is "afraid" of pressing too hard for the natural resources it so desperately needs from the Senkaku islands, even though this is the only way that it can retain its position as a world-class economy selling goods at competitive prices.
Likewise, China knows it cannot be the aggressor by launching the first shot, because that will invite American retaliation. For our part, we want Japan to press harder, but we don't want to be actively engaged in war with China. If those two engage in war, with us on the sidelines, we can again dominate the world economy with our own automobiles and refrigerators and TV sets, as well as providing drones and armaments to both sides of the warring parties. What do we gain? No more Great Recession in the US or the EU. So, we send two carrier groups into the area just to raise the ante by further pissing off China while "seemingly" bolstering Japan to be more aggressive in asserting its claim to the islands.
We win. They lose.
noumen.arete
lachance, i completely agree with you.

With the considreable US Naval presence now in the area it's time for China to go to the corner for a "time out".

Japan should contract the seabed if they think there's oil and gas to a British/American company and just get royalties without dirtying their own hands. If China attacks a western oil platform, all hell will break loose and Japan can just sit back, crack a beer and enjoy watch China get a butt kicking courtesy of a US naval fleet.
mitoguitarman
Divvy it up fairly 3 ways.
Nhan Thai
this is game of starving hyenas hanging around lion japan eating food
Herve Nmn L'Eisa
This could become a "police action" if the US gets involved. Let one chinese fisherman fire a shot or ram a US ship and the tides will turn. Dumb moves on the part of china. Don't write a check your *$$ can't cash.

All major oil conglomerates operate some giant petrochemical - Oil Refining JVs or other forms of business interest in China... And that no one will explore oil on disputed waters taking into account of the political risks incurred.

7 Chinese PLA Navy vessels now transitting through Okinawan islands eastbound. Not much of a show of force much less a theat. One at least is an oiler.

Geographicaly is cristal clear that these islands belong to .... .... ... ... ... ... ... ... China !!!!
