The Toyota Automobile Museum, a Toyota-run cultural facility in Aichi Prefecture, will host a classic car festival at Meijijingu Gaien park in Shinjuku, Tokyo on Dec 1.

The Toyota Automobile Museum Classic Car Festival will be the sixth of its kind to be hosted by the museum and is aimed at promoting and developing Japan's automobile culture and encouraging interaction among car fans. The main venue for the festival will be in front of the Meiji Memorial Picture Gallery.

With the entry of around 100 classic cars owned by individual collectors from Japan, the United States and Europe, the festival will feature a parade in the Ginza district, an exhibition of vehicles and a wide range of other events.

Visitors will be able to take commemorative photos sitting in vintage cars such as a Toyota Sports 800 and DeLorean DMC-12.

The de Lorean was an 'interesting' design but slower than most modern family cars. A bit of show but little go and certainly NOT a 'vintage car'. How about the Honda S600 or the Toyota GT?

If one wants to see a DeLorean, one should head to "History Garage" in Venus Fort, Odaiba... Truly a sight to behold.. It's missing the flux capacitor though ;(
